No Updates?

"Why haven't you updated your blog?" I keep on getting this question time and again. And the only answer I give is that I did not find anything interesting to write about.

'Interesting'. That word itself is interesting. Isn't it? So what catches my interest and inspires me to pen my thoughts about it? Good question. Even I am as clueless as you are.

I guess whenever I feel strongly about an issue I write. I also write when I am frustrated with the way my 'official' work is going on. Writing ensures that I do not loose faith in my writing (obviously!) skills and the faith that I do not have a non-functional brain. And reconfirmation that I can still think and comprehend. Yes, time and again, that brain of mine goes in a deep slumber, but that's ok. I also write when I have nothing better to do.

And what I am doing right now is a combination of both I guess, nothing much to do and little bit of frustration:)

How all you who take pains and effort to read these posts wish I would be contented with my work and life na?

Is that news?

Amitabh Bachachan catches cold. An alien space ship sighted. Rakhi slaps boyfriend on Valentine's day. Man marries a dog.
No no I haven't gone insane. But our news channels seem to be losing their sanity with each passing day. All the above 'statments' were actually breaking news stories on the plethora of news channels that we have.
It has become increasingly difficult to find a channel which runs a piece which can be termed as hard news story. Well, infact all the stories that make the rounds on the channels cannot even be termed as feature stories. They do not have even an iota of news worthy matter in them. And to add to that they are played on the channel the entire day.
Is our country prospering so much that these are the only news itmes that can be found? I thought our country is facing serious issues such as farmer sucides, tiger poaching, naxalite problems to name a few. Terrorism I am sure does not need to be mentioned seperatley. Why can't we have journalists dealing with such stories. And if its entertainment that they are after how about having some stand-up comedian on the shows? Atleast that would make people laugh, though it must be said, that with the kind of news being shown the news channels are making themselves a laughing stock.
