Certainly not a 'Hit'!!

It is but public knowledge that India and China fight tooth and nail to prove that one has outdone the other when it comes to growth and developmental issues. Using this to explain something is fine, but to take that as the storyline for a TVC and that too not related to growth and development per se is taking it a little too far. The latest ‘Hit’ spray TVC shows Indians facing bugs, insects and cockroach problems. And then with Hit spray the Indians manage to get rid of the bugs and cockroaches. The spray apparently sends the bugs and insects to China!! I failed to see the connection between the spray and China. Made me wonder what the creative team behind this TVC was trying to convey! Surely it didn't want to say that using Hit will help the country beat its arch rival in the race for growth and development!
