Nudge the issue out!

A request or an insult? A nudge or a helping hand? Those are the questions on the minds of people. So what actually happened? Did the players push Sharad Pawar off the podium? Or were they just ensuring that he is more comfortable? Did Ricky Ponting insultingly ask Mr Pawar to hand over the trophy? Or was he just eager to get his hands on the trophy? The best people to answer these questions would be the one’s present when the so called ‘insulting’ incident happened.

So was Mr Pawar actually insulted? The man in question has denied any misbehaviour and has blamed the media for blowing things out of proportion. The concerned ‘guilty’ players have denied that they had any intention of insulting anyone and whatever happened was not meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments.

So why is everyone else debating over the issue? Why are there demonstrations and debates about the incident? Why are there slow-motion videos being played over and over again on the channels? Why can’t everyone let the issue rest? Believe what the concerned people have said and leave it at that. Why make a national issue out of it? When Mr Pawar can be such a sport why can’t the rest of the people? When he can take the so called ‘insult’ in his stride why can’t the rest do so?
