Quotes of the year???

I think we should have a log book or something on those lines for quotes by politicians, because our politicians have a habit of putting their foot in their mouth. We always knew they were hopeless but over the past few days, they have reinforced that. Knowing very well that people are agitated over the latest terror attacks, they could have saved themselves, the added fury of the people by not making such senseless and insensitive comments.
So here are a few quotes by some leading politicians, at a time when they could have done without them:

Aise choti batein hoti rehti hai sehron mein. (Such small things keep happening in cities).
Reference: Intelligence failure during the Mumbai terror attacks.

Yeh lipstick aur powder lagane wali aurate kya jane terrorism kya hota hai (What will women in lipstick and powder know about terrorism.)
Reference: People's anger at government’s inept handling of terrorism.

Had it not been for Sandeep Unnikrishnan, not even a dog would have looked at their house.
Reference: Anger at not being allowed to pay ‘respects’ a day after the funeral by Sandeep Unnikrishnan's father.

5000 logo ko marne ka plan tha... (5000 were supposed to be killed).
Reference: The number of casualties in the terror attack were supposed to be more. As good as suggesting that 200 is not that bad!

Why should I resign? I don't think I have done anything wrong.
Reference: Whether responsibility would be taken and resignation given.

Am I giving importance to what they say? NO not at all...Such quotes don't even deserve a mention!

I decided to put these down as a reminder that all our politicians care about is their power and their prestige! Not us!
