Jai Ho....nope we are not talking Rahman here!

The song has become an anthem of sorts not only in India but across the world. So when I heard the 'Jai Ho..' version of the Congress party, I could not help but pity Rahman. Personally speaking though I am of the opinion that this song is not the best work of Rahman, I could not help but fume on hearing the Congress version of the song. My first reaction on hearing it was 'What the @$#$%'. Couldn't the party find something else to make a mess of! Am sure by the time elections are over people will start hating the original one as well!

If the party thinks that their version is going to help them win the elections like it won Rahman the Oscars, then they are mistaken. Elections are no Oscars! And especially at present, it is not songs that is going to catch the fancy of the voters. What people are looking for are leaders and parties who will think about the betterment of the people and society ahead of the political ‘power game’. So how about getting original and doing or rather saying something which will really make the voters look up and take notice?
